With the release of the EOS Webcam Utility software, you can turn your compatible Canon camera into a webcam simply using a USB cable. Take advantage of the free software, with over 40 compatible Canon cameras both current and past models.
The EOS Webcam Utility is compatible with a wide range of platforms including Cisco Webex®, Discord, Facebook Live, Hangouts Meets™, Messenger, Microsoft Teams*, Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), Skype, Slack, Streamlabs, Twitch Studio, YouTube Live and ZOOM.
*Currently, if the Windows desktop version of Microsoft Teams app (v. 1.3.00.30866) is utilised and EOS Webcam Utility is selected as the camera device, Microsoft Teams will not function. You may use the browser based version of Microsoft Teams through Google Chrome browser to utilise EOS Webcam Utility with Microsoft Teams.
